Ironclad movie : When The King Asking for his Right

Background in 1215, Ironclad tells the story of the rising of the great charter of Magna Carta. Charter is born due to disagreements between the Pope, King John, and the Baron with the aim of limiting the king's absolute power. From where Jonathan Bahasa Inggeris which acts as writer director once tried to dig real story of English history in the 13th century.

Story begins when King John (Paul Giamatti) rent the original Danish mercenaries to hunt the Baron who forced the Magna Carta signed the charter. King John a very cruel king who seeks to restore full power right without any governing law except by the king himself.

Elsewhere a Knight Templar, Thomas Marshall (James Purefoy) is stuck in a situation that brought against the king. Thomas co Baron Albany (Brian Cox) and eventually try to collect a small force to fight mercenaries hired by king John.

In the castle of Rochester is a dispute both groups ultimately perpetuate war sadistic, brutal and prolonged. With the strength of 20 Thomas led his men against 1000 professional army. Berhasilkah they survive the onslaught of king John was listed as one of the king who had led the British terkejam.

Several scenes show sadistic by Jonathan Bahasa Inggeris to describe the atrocities of the king. Like when a clergyman who cut his tongue and the barons who were suspended and cut the body as punishment for opposing the ruler. With perfect effect, these scenes feel real and can make you closed an eye.

For those that enjoy war films with historical background, Ironclad could serve as compulsory viewing and pity to miss. But it is not complete if a war movie interspersed romance seasoning. Even a little, the story of forbidden love between Thomas and Lady Isabella be interesting spices in Ironclad.
