Movie reviews : Gangster Squad, Special forces againts the Mafia

Movie review of Gangster Squad. Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) is a most powerful mafia in Los Angeles (LA). With its dark business network, Mickey very easily master the entire city. Ranging from police, politicians until the judge is under the control of the mafia

The city that has been ruled by Mickey, there are still some people who are not consumed by the net bribe the mafia. One is a sergeant John Omara (Josh Brolin) is a police detective in charge of the LAPD. John is a former soldier was trying hard to quell Mickey networks, but as a subordinate of a boss who has been bribed, John was not able to do anything.

Until finally quell crime bids came from Chief Mickey Parker (Nick Nolte). Chief John Parker wanted create specialized units to disrupt business networks Mickey Cohen. John was immediately interested in recruiting members who are also part of the police.

However, there are conditions to be met by John and his team, for those who the police are required to put their badges while others may not get identified. Street battle finally began, Can John and their 'gang forces' destroy Mickey Cohen and his men?

With 1949 setting, where the board was still plastered hollywood Hollywoodland, Gangster Squad performing sadistic and characterized the United States past. Who is he who will be the strongest power.

Scenes of torture and shooting has been presented since the beginning of the film takes place. But it is not just violence shown in the film claim that Ruben Fleischer. Romance between Grace Faraday (Emma Stone) and Sergeant Jerry Wooters (Ryan Gosling) to other interesting elements.
