Movie Reviews : Mika

Indi (Velove Vexia) is a cheerful girl whose world is turned upside down when she was diagnosed with scoliosis when in junior high school. Because of this health condition, she had to wear iron body buffer (brace) for 23 hours every day. Before entering high school, he was on vacation to Jakarta and here Indi acquainted with Mika (Vino G. Bastian) through an unexpected encounter. They then became close friends. Mika is cool, exciting, daring, and always look at life with a positive and relaxed, slowly can help Indi girl to come back so lighthearted and dare to fight the disease. Mika has always had a way to make Indi feel happy in the midst of torture of her disease.

Indi cover her relationship with Mika from her mother (Donna Aaron) because he knew his mother did not like that much older Mika and tattooed. As they got closer relationship, Mika reveals a secret about herself that she was suffering from AIDS.
Problems began to arrive when conditions are getting weaker Mika and his past begin to unfold. Mr Indi (Izur Mochtar) and mother and my friends started to know about Indi background Mika. But they do not know the wonderful things that have been done Mika for Indi. After the death of his best friend (Framly Nainggolan), Mika retreat and leave with a full Indi question. Mika knew his time was near and did not want to Indi feel more pain later. Behind Indi grief after left Mika, Mika knew she just makes it more alive and trying to defeat health condition.
Prior to his appointment to the big screen, the story of Mika was already widely known in the form of a novel by Indi titled 'Time I Just Mika'. Of course there is a difference when the novel is transformed into the form of a film. The director Lasja F. Susatyo, further highlight the spirit of life suffering from Aids than Mika drama. But the romantic spices will also be presented in this movie remains.
Romance between Indi and Mika made with no exaggeration. They were both in a relationship is naturally like ordinary teenagers, who still uses public transport to travel. Although demkian it does not reduce the impression of a romantic and sweet behavior when they're together.
Mika movie is included in the drama genre, but there is no mistake in scoring the big screen is very rocky. Mika films in collaboration with several Indonesian metal bands one of which is NOXA, who told a group of Mika's favorite music. Surely the role of a child steeped in rock n roll is not a hard thing for Vino see his experience of the movie Reality, Love and Rock'n Roll (2006).
Vexia Velove quality also can not be in 'child tirikan' in this film. He successfully plays the character Indi ranging from age 15 to go to college. Velove managed to adapt to the ever-growing character Indi adults ranging from conversational style and attitude.
Overall, the movie has a lot of positive messages Mika one of them is not discriminating against people with AIDS, because the diseased person can give positive input for sound. In addition, Lasja also confirmed some income from the film will be donated to the foundation cares Aids.
If you care about Aids, let's watch a movie together Mika which began airing on Thursday January 17, 2013.
