This movie is the sequel of the film Journey to the Center of the Earth 2008 years ago, starring Brendan Fasser. But no longer Mysterious Island starring Brendan, but the former Smackdown wrestler, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.
The story of a teenager rolling named Sean (Josh Hutcherson) who receives a message in the form of a password to go to a mysterious island, which is not known to exist. He also thinks that this message shows the 'mysterious island' and was sent by his grandfather who spent half his life to find the island. Sean found the spirit of the island would not be unstoppable.
Sean who initially did not have a good relationship with his stepfather Hank (Dwayne Johnson) gradually improved, after helping Hank riddle of the mysterious island of messages it receives.
He then decided to go to the island. Not alone, apparently a surprise, her stepfather joined her. To reach the island, he was accompanied by a helicopter pilot, Gabato (Luiz Guzman) and his beautiful daughter, Kailani (Vanessa Hudgens).
Adventure began. The helicopter in which they were entered into the vortex of thunderstorms. However, it is not the end all, but take them to the 'mysterious island'. Sean joy discovered the island, and Kailani Gabato the first only because the tour guide had to come, too, was amazed to see the most amazing scenery. Not to mention the surprises in the form of animals by size instead of the real world.
Sean was able to meet with his grandfather. They found that actually the mysterious island that has lost atlantis. Unfortunately they did not have long to enjoy the beauty of the island, because according to the research Hank, the island was going to sink in a matter of days.
So can they get out of the island? Or just have no one to sacrifice himself to save the lives of others?
The film is laid out nicely and both directed by Brad Peyton. Scenario story lines were created to flow with the typical Hollywood flavor of fresh humor. Not to mention the arrangement worked very spectacular graphics, every detail of the beauty of this mysterious island feast for the eyes.
