According to news reported by The Hollywood Reporter, after Joseph Gordon-Levitt decided to pull out of the new version of Godzilla films, Edward then reportedly began to look at Henry Cavill, Scott McNairy and Caleb Landry Jones as the main star.

Previously, the name of Joseph Gordon Levitt and Henry Cavill entered into the list of candidates for the main character is based on the choice of the Warner Bros. Pictures production, while Caleb and Scott is on the creative part.

On Monday (6/1), Deadline reported that a new version of the project Godzila already holding Frank Darabont, to rewrite the script which was later refined by Iron Man 3 screenwriter Drew Pearce.
