Movie Celebrity Lifestyle : Guillermo Del Toro Reject directed film Star Wars: Episode 7

Movie Celebrity Guillermo Del Toro is known to have turned down an offer to direct a film Star Wars: Episode 7 because of his commitment to another big screen project. Guillermo said he had not had time to focus on working on another movie.


As is known, since George Lucas sold Lucasfilm production company to Disney in 2012, they began to busy to look for talented director who could carry on the glory of the Star Wars movies.

"We had received a telephone and offered the movie Star Wars: Episode 7. Basically I've got a lot planned next movie and I have to focus on my responsibility," said Guillermo Del Toro was quoted by Contactmusic.

Nonetheless, the director of Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008) is already been honored to be asked to work on the latest Star Wars movie. "Really I feel very honored to have been offered once for the project," he concluded.

Guillermo Del Toro has been preparing for this year's new film, Pacific Rim is scheduled to air in the U.S. on the date July 12. Going forward he is also rumored to be working on the film Pinocchio and Hellboy 3.

Though it was scheduled to air in 2015, Star Wars Episode 7 is still a 'hunt' to find a director. The project until a new contract is now Michael Ardnt as a screenwriter and still keep the meetings of the synopsis. Yet others thought that Episode 7 will be picked up the story after the events in Return of the Jedi (1983).
